Forget sponsors, simple disciplined saving can result in you going to Dubai at the end of the year. Going off season in particular will allow you to have a much simpler time.
Plane tickets range from Kshs 30,000 and some hotels or AirBnB’s go for Kshs 5000, so with some additional cash plus your savings, you can decide to go to Dubai at the end of the year, or better yet during the beginning of next year when the hype has gone down.
If not Dubai, or you’d rather just do something in Kenya first, even Kshs 20,000 can have you go to Lamu and have a blast. Many travel agencies offer great 3 star hotel rates in the coast for Kshs 15,000 or more. If you’d rather go without an agency, try an AirBnB and use the SGR and Tuk Tuks to cut costs.
With all the money you’ll have at the end of the year, you could also decide to revamp your room, buy a nice sofa or carpet to add more vava voom.
Either way Kshs 4000 a month can literally allow you to buy that Iphone or laptop you’ve been wanting, at the end of the day, it’s up to you to know want you want out of the money you’re saving.
